We both have a sweet tooth, particularly for cakes and desserts. If you can't have gluten or wheat, like us, the options when you eat out are limited or non existent. It's really frustrating to go out to a restaurant, cafe or function, for there to be no choice.
SLAB bakery was created in 2017 to make great tasting food for restaurants and caterers that anyone can eat, whether your customers are gluten free, wheat free, or not. We're just passionate about creating food that everyone can enjoy. All our desserts are handmade with love and attention in our gluten free kitchen in Manchester.
We found that gluten free and wheat free foods are often rammed with more sugar than 'normal' foods, and often taste dry. We don't use refined sugar in any of our desserts, and use only good quality ingredients.

Our dessert are delicious, you'd never know they are gluten free, but they are suitable for those with a gluten intolerance, and for those with Coeliacs disease.
More good news, all our desserts are also suitable for vegetarians too, and we never use palm oil.
